The hotel was fairly clean with very kind staff at the reception desk. The room was big and huge, hopefully. The breakfast was outstanding, lots of superb food. Our accommodation was set in a riverside location so close to the Dom and Gutenberg Museum. Popped in Weinstube Rote Kopf for shots before sleep, it was relatively close to the venue.

Thoroughly enjoyed an air conditioning and blackout curtains in the room. Marvellous and brilliant location, Frankfurt airport was 19 miles away. Bars and restaurants next door had superb meals.

The room had a spacious design, but parking fees were expensive.

Location, efficient staff, room
Not providing wlan free of charge, or at least to a reasonable price. 22 € is a rip-off.... FYI in Sweden almost all hotels provide WLAN access for free. Many hotels in Europe do that as well.

Near the port
No free internet access and breakfast is terrible

The view of the river was fantastic! Location was perfect, just a short walk into the historic town. The gym, though basic, was decent for a quick workout. Having easy access to the riverwalk was a huge plus.

room was great. bed was very comfortable and bedding was also very nice. In spite of facing the street with traffic, there was absolute silence and one could rest well. hotel is very close to the cathedral and all the little streets around it. On the other hand, there are quite a few restaurants and bars nearby. One of them is Heiliggeist, you have to book in advance. At the foot of the hotel is the bank of the Rhine and it is a pleasure to walk along it at any season. The breakfast is splendid and worth including in the reservation. staff is friendly and attentive. room is very clean.
I don't understand how a hotel of that category charges for wifi. That should be a basic service by now. On the other hand, it seems that the hotel is more geared towards conventions and events, so the common places lack any romance or simply the necessary atmosphere to feel at ease. bar would be ideal for a train station, so would the restaurant, not for a hotel, where one might feel like having a quiet drink. lighting doesn't help at all. same goes for the restaurant. It's not a quiet place and layout doesn't help. Maybe the terraces are better, when we went in November we couldn't enjoy them. we went the parking lot was closed, we had to park nearby, where there are other possibilities. However, we think that this should be advised with the reservation, because at -4º below zero it is not pleasant to take an unexpected walk after a trip.

Totally recommend for a brief weekend stay
Comfortable bed, clean room, with efficient service from friendly staff who promptly addressed our maintenance needs for the door lock battery, all just a short 10-minute walk from the main train station.
Nothing could have been better.

They did not charge our credit cards in the first place and then later it was their mistake they locked our doors and mini bars.. which was a quite shock for our group. They promised to give us two beds - but they gave us a french bed..which caused too much problem!!!!
